Was born in Simawa- IRAQ in 1925. He finished a licentiate in sociology in 1942, and also studied at Baghdad fine Arts Institute between  1953- 1954, AL-said contributed with Jawad Salim in founding the Baghdad Modern Arts group with other Iraqi artists and architects.

Al-said wrote several books and articles critiquing Iraqi, Arab and international meanings . as al-Bu’d al-Wahid ( one dimension), adopt abstract style utilizing the Arabic letters as figurative forms of interwoven Sufi and spiritual is widely know His vision, which Art. A vision that stems from the essence of Islamic and Arab art and the modern school of the western artistic-Said was a prolific artist, critic, and historian who succeeded in formulating a modern art, as well as documenting the history of Iraqi art movement.
